Spread Holiday Cheer: 4 Ways You Can Donate at UC Blue Ash

on

During this season of giving, UC Blue Ash has many opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to spread the love (and warmth!) to others in our community–animals too. Have a great holiday season this year and remember to help someone in the Greater Cincinnati area have a great holiday too.

  1. Coats

The UC Blue Ash Spread the Warmth Coat Drive will run through December 5. Thanks to the Student Nursing AssociationStudent Ambassadors, and the Libraryfor their collaboration on this drive. Help them collect gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for them to donate to Operation Give Back.

Make your donation in bins located throughout the campus! If you have library fines, bring your donation to the Library Information Desk and get up to $20 of your fines waived. ($10 for each coat and $5 for accessories).

2. Canned Food

The Honors Program is collecting canned foods to donate to the UC Blue Ash Student Food Pantry. Drop off any cans you can spare at donation tables in Muntz or Walters halls. Honors students will be at these tables from 10 am — 1 pm each day (except Nov. 27) until December 2, the deadline.

3. Socks

Spread the cozy feeling of warm socks by donating new socks to the UC Blue Ash Social Work Club. Their sock drive will directly help people experiencing homelessness in the Greater Cincinnati area.

We all know what a huge difference a brand-new pair of socks can make when temperatures drop so low. Donate by December 6 in any donation bins located throughout Muntz Hall.

4. Pet Supplies

Donate to a dog or cat in a local animal shelter this Thanksgiving! The Vet Tech Student Associationis requesting collars, leashes, Kongs/Nyla bones, cat toys, litter, water/food bowls, dog/cat food (wet or dry), blankets, towels, and more.

Donate by December 13 in any of the bins located in Muntz, Progress, or Walters halls. Make an animal’s holidays a bit warmer this season!
