UC Blue Ash students help donate holiday cheer

on

Thank you to everyone who donated to the many drives happening all over campus this holiday season. They were a huge success, and we are happy to be a part of helping make the holidays a little more special for people and animals across the greater Cincinnati area.

The Spread the Warmth Coat Drive set the record for the most items donated in the history of this drive, with nearly 125 coats and 300 total warm items like gloves, hats, and scarves. All the clothing went to Operation Give Back, which was so grateful to receive them.

The Social Work Club Sock Drive received an astonishing 700 pairs of socks that will be donated to local homeless shelters in the area to help with the bitter weather that affects those without homes. Thanks to the students who led this effort from the social work program, and all the people who donated warm socks.

The UC Blue Ash Sister Circle and Honors Program coordinated and collected more than 80 items for the Student Food Pantry. This Canned Food Drive is intended to help students from our campus have access to free food when they need it most.

The Veterinary Technology program’s Santa Paws drives ends on December 13, 2019 but has already generated so many donations for shelter pets in need of toys, food, and more! All of the items will be given to the Clermont Animal CARE Humane Society.

UC Blue Ash students, faculty, and staff continue to be incredible supporters of the local communities who need our help! Thanks again to everyone, and have a happy holiday season.
